Wayfinding Signs by Cimarron High School Welding Class
Finding your way around Cimarron is about to get even easier!
As part of #CDWEEK26, we’re excited to share that new wayfinding signs are being built right here at home — crafted by the talented students in the Cimarron High School Welding Class.
These directional signs will help residents and visitors easily locate parks, city facilities, and key destinations throughout town. It’s a project that not only improves navigation, but also showcases the skills and pride of our local students.
A community that invests in its youth — and lets its youth invest back — builds a stronger future for everyone.
Creating a welcoming, easy‑to‑explore Cimarron because #QUALITYPLACESMATTER.

Cimarron Community Empowerment Board
Strong communities are built when people step forward — and that’s exactly what the Cimarron Community Empowerment Board does for our residents.
This board brings together dedicated community members who listen, collaborate, and help guide projects that strengthen Cimarron’s quality of life. From supporting local initiatives to elevating resident voices, they work to ensure our town continues to grow with intention, pride, and opportunity.
Their mission is simple: empower residents, uplift ideas, and help create a Cimarron where everyone feels heard and valued.
We’re grateful for their service and excited to continue building a community where people want to stay, invest, and return — because #QUALITYPLACESMATTER.

Youth Leadership & Community Voice
Our future starts with the voices of our youth.
During #CDWEEK26, we’re celebrating the work of our Youth Leadership Advisory Board, a group of students helping shape the Cimarron they want to grow up in — and come back to.
From sharing ideas on parks and recreation to giving input on community spaces, their perspectives guide real decisions. When young people feel heard, they become leaders who invest in their hometown’s future.
We want to continue growing this program and bring even more youth voices to the table. If you’re interested in participating or know a student who would be a great fit, reach out to the City to learn how to get involved.
Building a community our youth are proud to return to because #QUALITYPLACESMATTER.
